Jane will also be exhibiting the latest pieces in her highly successful and collectible 'Postcards From Great Yarmouth' series. These smaller works - each the size of a traditional seaside postcard - take as their subjects some of the lesser known sights of Great Yarmouth. They focus on the back streets and side streets of this quintessential seaside holiday town, capturing the night-time lights in convenience stores doorways, kebab shop windows and takeaway restaurants.

Seaside Seductions runs from 25th of August to the 9th of September 2015 at Harvey Wilson's Secret Gallery, 33a Market Row, Great Yarmouth. The gallery is open Monday to Saturday from 9.30am to 3.30pm, with a special late night opening between 6pm and 9pm on Friday 28th of August.

The Norfolk-based artist Jane Hall uses her colourful, Pop Art style to capture various aspects of the seaside culture in which she lives. Her hometown of Great Yarmouth and the nearby holiday resort of Hemsby are worlds full of ice creams, amusement arcades, souvenir shops and buckets and spades. They are also worlds full of colourful signage and advertising displays, such as the giant plastic hot dog who squirts himself with sauce on the main strip in Hemsby.

This giant frankfurter, wrapped in his bun, is the subject of an original paining by Jane Hall. Painted in front of a bingo sign on one of Hemsby's many amusement arcades, he dominates the canvas and calls our for attention, just like all good advertising images should. The bright yellow mustard he squirts on his forehead makes a striking contrast to the browns of his flesh and the red of his sleeves. Meanwhile, reflected in the glass behind him, is the jutting edge of the amusment arcade opposite where 'Frank' stands night and day.

'Frank' by Jane Hall is available to purchase at ARTWEB. Click through to Jane Hall's page on the site for details of how to purchase this modern Hemsby seaside picture.
